A company known as Jiangsu Xuebao claims to own the Snow Leopard trademark, and has sued Apple for using it in its products in China. Apple had hardly any time to breathe after settling with Proview before it was hit with another trademark-infringement case in China. Apple has continued to take an increasingly larger share of mobile devices tracked by Net Applications, reaching more than 65 percent in the month of June. The 65.27 percent share of Apple’s iOS platform, which is found on the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, was up from 62.65 percent in May. Apple is experimenting with tweaked a Genius Bar service center at one retail store, featuring a larger table removed from the back wall that has replaced the kids’ seats and tables. With MobileMe officially retired, Apple’s next online service set to disappear is iWork.com, and the company sent out an e-mail on Monday reminding customers to download their documents by July 31. With the arrival of August, users will no longer be able to access documents stored on the iWork.com website. iOS continues to gain ground as the vehicle through which many of us access the mobile Web, leaving Android with less than 20 percent, notes Net Applications.
